Computer trouble, please help!?

I have recently downloaded (not on purpose!) a trojan/virus/ something that I don't want. It flashes up every 10 seconds saying that my computer is infected. If I click it it starts downloading a fake 2009 XP spyware program. I need to remove this because it is causing my computer to be extremely slow. I tried to open up Norton, my spyware scanner, however, it won't open and says 'abnormal program'. So, I thought I'd try downloading a few free spyware scanners - such as AD aware and AVG. However, these scans all stop working - presumably because of the 'thing' I downloaded. Also, it won't let me on websites to download the spyware scanners - I can get on every other website. I really need some help to get rid of this, because it could really mess up my computer. Can anyone help me?

Can someone please give me advice?

First of all sorry this is so long. I have had asthma for 4 years (diagnosed) and I also have fibromyalgia. My fibromyalgia causes me a lot of rib pain but it is totally different and in a different area then what my asthma affects. For the past about 2 months my chest has been really bothering me. I am getting a lot of pressure, occasionall pain in the middle of my chest over my bone that feels like a point of heavier pressuree and sometimes a choking feeling in the back and down my throat, like something's stuck in it. I went to the doctor and was put on low dose steroids, which didn't help. I went back to the doctor and was put on high dose steroids. Then while on the steroids I got bronchitis and was put on strong antibiotics. After all this was done I felt better from the bronchitis but was still having the issues with my chest and I began to have issues with stairs and such. I again went back to the doctor and this time she said my asthma was fine but my heart was racing. She checked my thyroid and blood count for anemia and i wore a holter monitor for 24 hours to monitor my heart. The thyroid and blood count came back normal and the holter results didn't show much but she started me on heart meds to help with the racing heart rate. My chest began to feel worse and my inhaler didn't seam to want to work so I went back and saw the other doc in the practice cause mine wasn't there. He had me do a breathing treatment to see if it helped my chest feel better but it actually made it feel worse. He said he thinks it's all related to my asthma, took me off the heart meds, upped my controll inhaler and ordered a chest x-ray and a spirometry. The nurse told me the spirometry looked fine and the docs office called me today and told me the chest x-ray came back noromal. I'm exausted and am not doing much around my house I feel so crappy. Can anyone help me please? I would really appreciate any advice. Thank you so much.

Ok I only know so much about football but I think it's the Texans because they have a good running back in Steve Slaton who started playing really well. have a 85 bronco,351 cleveland, changed the oil and filter. no leaks anywhere. when you check the oil level it shows nothing, dry dipstick.waited plenty of time for it to drain down to the pan. however if ya start the engine then check it registers on the dipstick. why does the dipstick show nothing when the engine is cold?

So my Daughter's birthday is not until Jan. but we just went to a B-day party and it has got me started thinking about hers. How can I restore propane flow to my gas grill?

Our gas grill worked fine last summer, but we just recently ran out of propane and got a new tank. We hooked it up as always, opened the tank valve, turned on the burners and... nothing happened. Even with the tank valve all the way open and the burners set to ignite, there is no gas coming out of the grill. I can't see anything in the tank or the hose that resembles a blockage, and I'm not sure where a blockage could occur. It's a CharBroil QuickSet grill, and I'm using a Blue Rhino propane tank. Please help I am a nervous wreck when it comes to my newborn!?

To me they are more of a control device. I think that the dog learns not to pull against them but they don't learn not to pull against a collar. However it could be that I have never seen dogs that were properly trained using these devices but rather dragged around on them. I have always felt that if you want your dog to learn to walk on a loose leash and collar, than a collar and leash should be used for the training. I've always had a difficult time getting dogs to accept wearing head collars. It seems like they are always fighting them.

How much is too much milk?

I've been feeding my 2wk old. And it seems like I'm ALWAYS feeding him. Okay I saw a guy this weekend I use to like for the first time in about four years. We chatted on an off for awhile but ceased communication about two years ago. Anyway I did tell him that I would love to catch up with him and that if he had any free time to let me know. His response, Ok. That was the end. He left town and never communicated back with me. Was I rejected because I sure as H feel this way? What would be his reasoning to not even call or text me.

Thanks to all who took some time to answer my call for help. I was at the end of my rope with this and I am actually trying something that no on suggested through the forum.. One of my coworkers suggested a muzzle for the dog when she retaliates on the cat. The cat cant hurt the dog as he has no claws and doesnt get close enough to bite. So far it has been a couple of hours the dog has worn the muzzle 3 times for about 10 minutes each time and I tell you it is working to get my cat relaxed in the same room and the dog deterred from chasing the cat. Thought someone who may be going through this could use the info. The muzzle was only 10 bucks from Petco and so far a good investment. The dog only has to wear it when she goes after the cat. She will soon ociate this behavior with getting a "not fun" thing wrapped around her nose. Yay!

What to do with an Alligator Snapping Turtle?

I went out today and when I was coming out of the building I was in, I found a small turtle, maybe the size of a half dollar, in the parking lot. I was not sure what kind of turtle it was until I brought to a pet store near by where they told me it was a snapper. One of the employees gave me a small container filled with shallow water and holes for air on the plastic top. Just a moments ago I realized I had an ALLIGATOR SNAPPING TURTLE next to me! I'm not sure now if I should be releasing it into a nearby swamp, keeping it, or selling it? If I do keep it would anyone be able to tell me how to properly take care of it? Problems with receiving calls and sending text messages on fairly new Blackjack 2 for ATT?

I got my blackjack 2 back in April or May. From day 1 it's had a case and a screen protector. The past few days it's been acting up... ever since I got home from LA... I turned my phone off for the flight and when I turned it back on it's been ridiculous. For a while, I couldn't receive calls or texts unless I turned my phone off then on again.. then I could see the missed texts and calls but how am I supposed to know to do that every so often throughout the day? Then it started just freezing when I click to open text messaging and when I try to answer phone calls. Today it didn't even show the names, just numbers, but when I'd try to answer it'd just freeze. My phone has been sending the same IMPORTANT text for the past 2 hours (no joke, it just has that little timer circle in the middle of the screen). Pendulum won't keep swinging on clock?

I just obtained a Linden weight-driven wall clock. My grandparents had it and kept immaculate care of it for as long as I can remember, but I don't know what kind of care it has gotten in the past decade or so. I have the hands set, the weights are on the chains at the base of the clock, and I set the pendulum in motion and it only keeps going for about 2-3 minutes. I know you're supposed to let the chimes finish with each movement of the hands (which I did on the last setting of them) but I don't know how much they got moved around previous to this. Windows XP Startup Freeze?

I'm running on win xp professional sp3. This started about a few weeks ago and I've changed nothing on my computer. Every time, the first time I turn on my computer, it would jump into a blank black screen and freeze after the windows logo loading page. Then I would have to restart. During the restart when it's still loading up my BIOs and windows, my wireless usb keyboard and mouse will be unresponsive for the interval. I will try hitting num and caplocks on the keyboard and it wouldn't react. But once windows is finally loaded up at the login screen, my keyboard and mouse will once again work. This is the same cycle every time I turn on my computer. I would have to turn on and then restart a second time. I checked my master/slave setting they're correct. I'm booting with my CD/DVD drive as a master and my hard drive as a slave. Anyone got any suggestions to fix this?

No. I think that it's a combination of cultural factors and personal experience. I think that generally people vote for the party their parents voted for because they were conditioned to favor that one and the other. We develop our perceptions really young so even as adults most people are biased towards that. However experience can lead to differing views. I study medical anthropology and a lot of that has to do with oppression, social epidemiology, etc. The facts are astounding and it's the most difficult thing to sum up and explain to someone that doesn't study it. It's so complex. I think that being exposed to that kind of stuff definitely would make someone more prone to supporting things such as universal healthcare and a stronger welfare system.

I just turned 21 last week and I'm currently living with my mom and stepfather. I'm working for a family business under minimal wage and I'm taking a college cl. Growing up with my biological parents was tough. They were emotionally and physically abusive. My father has always been a dead beat of sorts having nothing to do with anyone really. I was sent to "special" boarding school at age 12 that dwelt with learning disabled kids. This was a label I had to suffer with all my life, while I witnessed my mother cater to my two sisters. My twin sister is like a princess... my mother buys her expensive dresses (even secretly tries them on), put her in dance cles at an early age, forced her to go to a sorority. Anyway, after coming home from boarding school and having to deal with stepparents I was socially stupid and desperate for attention. I tried running away, but this led me into a hospital and later to a 24 month theutic program, which completely sheltered me more. At 18, I went home for my senior year and it was tough making friends, staying motivated in school, while living between two parents and dealing with my dead beat father and his controlling selfish wife and my mother who marries for security and married an alcoholic prick who cares more about golf and drinking with his buddies. I went to art school when I left, but I couldn't handle it because mentally and emotionally I wasn't capable. I haven't been in school until now. I live away from home for a while and tried desperately to fit in with the crowd. I was promiscuous and selfish... my dad paid for my apartment , but said I had to find a job so I could eventually pay for it. My father never really taught me how to be a man because he was just a boy himself. We aren't on good terms and he and his wife choose to distant themselves from the whole family. Now I'm living with my crazy anorexic mother and I can't bare it anymore. I was living with my grandparents, but I couldn't take it anymore even though I appreciated there help. I hate feeling like a loser with nothing go on for me. I'm seeing a therapist right now and she claims I'm suffering from PTS disorder. I don't know if school is the right choice... I'm just wasting my moms money, I'm not really motivated to excel because I've never been a high achiever. My mom used to ask me if I wanted to skip school growing up. She even did my homework for me when I was fully capable of doing it and my mom isn't a very bright person (not to be mean, but I'm a lot smarter than her)... she congratulated me when I made a C, but got abusive when my sister made a B. My sister wanted to go to community college after high school and my mom has a hissy fit because she wanted more out of her... but it was okay for me to go to community college.. Electronics Kit Build Help?

My strategy is to limit how hot the ICs get. I will solder one IC pin, and then go to a different part of the board and solder a pin of a different IC, or a resistor or whatever. Later I return to the first IC and solder another pin, etc. I do this to allow time for the IC to cool down between applications of the soldering iron. Perhaps this is overkill but that's the way I do it. Also on DIP ICs, I prefer to start near the middle of the row of pins and work out to the ends. It makes is easier to avoid solder bridge errors.

C Programming Problem - How to terminate a loop?

The program will have to loop through the array once more after it is sorted, otherwise the program will not know if it has been fully sorted yet. I would suggest using a boolean variable to flag when the array is properly sorted, which you would use to terminate the loop.

I'm an American and I have to say that I was absolutely shocked when I heard recently that according to a poll, many Brits actually believe that Churchill, Gandhi, and the Duke of Wellington are characters who were made up for movies and books. Even worse, many of these same people believe that Sherlock Holmes, who is a fictional character created by Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle, was a real person! How on earth did this happen? For goodness' sake, I'm an American and even I knew that Churchill and the Duke of Wellington, who were British, were real people! It seems all you conservatives are voting the most conservative conservative there is! I always liked McCain so I've brushed up on him and have been following his career the last few years. I started thawing chicken legs to thaw this morning so I can make for dinner tonight...?

Save yourself a step. Put chicken, potatoes(cut up), whole baby carrots and celery (cut up) in a bowl and toss with a robust Italian dressing until coated well use a little Italian seasoning a sprinkle of salt and the same in pepper. Put in a cerole dish and bake uncovered until brown and crispy on the skin of the chicken and on the potatoes at 400 degrees when it looks close to done about 45 minutes, depending on your oven and size of pieces, cover it with foil as tight as you can being careful of the heat of the dish. Check it in 20 minutes, it should be done and your chicken wont be dry. If you want to still do the spinach try doing it in individual small baking dishes. Do your creamed spinach on the stove first then place in the small dishes top with shredded cheese if you want and then bread crumbs drizzled with a little er and set under the broiler until brown. cover with foil until ready to serve. A good Chablis nothing fancy is great try Sutter home..that is if you drink wine. I can tell you what to do fro dessert if you tell what you like to work with.

Even with bi-daily full water changes my fish tank keeps turning green, What am I doing wrong?

I have a 60 gallon tank with about 8 small fish in it. Two of them are algae eaters. (Im not sure of technical terms). The others are tetras and rather small. I have already thinned the tank out by removing 5 very large red belly pacu's. I thought they were the problem and I have proven myself wrong. We are still having to do a 90% water change as well as cleaning all the rocks and decorations with the the water change every other day. I do use a ph kit as well as formulas for making tap water safe and an algae deter ant formula. We are changing the filters whether needed or not with each water change. So what am I doing wrong. We feed only whats necessary and have even skipped two days to see if over feeding was the problem and it has not helped. My husband thinks its a tap water problem and I am wandering if its our pump. So I need advice quick, I'm close to giving up. Someone help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Without sounding like I'm making a sweeping generalization of course. My mother was a democrat and my dad a republican so I grew up hearing both arguments. When Bush went into Iraq and Aphganistan it was under the pretense that we were liberating a country under an evil regime. Obviously there was a lot of back and forth about it being for oil, selfish reasons etc etc.. Many republicans being pro-war many democrats being anti-war. When Obama went into Libya for supposedly those same reasons (liberating a country from tyranny) it seems like the roles were reversed with democrats being pro-war and republicans being anti-war. Isn't this rather hypocritical for both sides? Why are some republicans, who supported the "liberation" of Iraq and Aphganistan suddenly so against the "liberation" of Libya? Both Osama and Sadam were allies of America just as Ghadafi was. Each country has been harsh quelling any type of uprising to the point of cruelty, yet to me it seems the only difference is the president. Maybe I'm used to ping judgement because of political policy rather then political affiliation. Obviously it would make sense if we either liberated all suppressed countries or none, picking and choosing who just doesnt make sense. I guess what I'm wondering is this. Is a presidents political affiliation matter so much to people that they can go from supporting a war in Iraq to condemning a war in Libya? Even if said reasons are supposedly the same? Opinions?

This like any other State / Federal funded program that is in the cross hairs of being cut because of budget issues..they throw a pissy fit about how important they are. Every State / Federal Program came about because of a theoretical "good" reason.

Rate my manga story for me please?

So i have this anime story in mind. It isn't complete, but it is just an idea. The story takes place in europe, probably the 1700s, or earlier. Maybe the midievil days. But i want them to have things like modern revolvers instead of musket guns, toiletries like toothpaste, and stuff like that, but i still want the midievil feel to it with a modern touch. The story will be about a small town regularly attacked by monsters. Werewolves, vampires, zombies, etc. So, a group of fighters is started by the church to protect everyone. I dont want the story to only focus on the town defending itself, but i also want some sort of epic quest. Like part of the group travels across the land to get to the magicians castle to kill him or something along those lines. I also had a crazy idea in my mind that one of the characters, possibly the main character is a time traveler, and hes apart of the same group but in modern day and travels back in time to help them. On his journey he meets a young woman whom he falls in love with and is saddened that he needs to leave her when he goes back to his own time. So he takes her back with him or something. I dont know, for right now im just trying to put ideas together and make them work.

The pull cord on my snow blower wont budge, is something broken?

My son's bus driver is very rude to him. She also does not follow safety regulations.?

My sons bus driver is rude and inconsiderate. She leaves without her children being seated and belted in. She has spoken on her cellular telephone while driving the bus. She speeds and constantly is on the brink of getting into an accident according to my son. As he was getting dropped off today she sped and came to an abrupt stop across the street from my house. There is a matron on the bus who should be walking him across the street, which does not happen. As many people do not heed stop signs on the bus they drive past and he could get hit. We live on a very busy road and I am concerned for his safety. She also takes a very strange route so that she winds up on the opposite side of the street when she could be dropping him off on the same side as my house if she went a more convenient way. My son rides on a mini bus therefore the rules and regulations are different than that of a regular bus. If someone could please tell me a) how to deal with her and b) some regulations for busses.
